Drawing on influences from the alt rock/grunge movement of the 90s, their sound is biting guitars, pounding rhythm and rousing choruses topped with a spitball pop sheen that sits in the sweet spot of heavy and melodic.

The brainchild of Country 100.7 FM announcer and host of “That East Coast Show” Jonathan Crouse. It was his vision back in 2004 to bring a great music festival to the south shore of Nova Scotia which doesn’t cater to just one type of musical taste and showcases independent maritime artists. With the overwhelming amount of talent in the Maritimes this vision has become a reality.
Riverfest has been nominated for an East Coast Music Award. In 2006 Riverfest was honored with a nomination for “Music Event of the Year” by “Music Nova Scotia”. Some of the acts that have graced the Riverfest stage include international acts such as multiple award winning recording acts Helix, Haywire, Lee Aaron and The Northern Pikes as well as MIR, Joel Plaskett and Charlie A’Court along with local favorites Air Traffic Control and Short Notice.
